Stephan Benzekri is Principal at PAXAVA Consulting where he supports clients in the design and application of research to guide critical business decisions. Stephan has worked extensively in new product commercialization from early-stage decisions through launch, and helped to guide life cycle management for drugs, technology platforms, and devices.
A research veteran known for exceptional client service, Stephan has led a wide range of engagements in the healthcare industry over the last 20 years, making use of varied methodologies including highly customized advanced models engineered to answer challenging business questions. He is an expert in the application of choice modeling to develop clinical trials strategy and build forecasts, and a highly skilled user of segmentation techniques to build frameworks that guide portfolio positioning, targeting, and messaging strategies. A diverse research skill set and experience in marketing application make Stephan adept in marrying methods to problems for effective decision support.
Stephan has worked extensively in CNS, cardiovascular, metabolic disorders, dermatology, immunology, oncology, and therapeutic devices, managing assignments in North America and globally, including EU, BRIC, and other emerging markets. Business problems he has addressed recently include positioning a major new biologic in a crowded category, sizing the global opportunity for a new diabetes therapy, and assessing truly novel smoking cessation IP for commercial in-licensing, a project that was conducted in conjunction with the University of Pennsylvania.
Stephan is an active speaker in industry forums. One of his recent presentations featured innovative use of machine learning techniques to streamline and rationalize complex market segmentation analytics for enhanced actionability as well as a recent discussion outlining some of the prevalent misuses of MaxDiff®.
